Anniversary Tin Basket

This handmade double-lidded basket was completely made out of tin and found in Missouri. The metal has been hand-cut and woven exactly like wood splint. The overall simplicity and great surface makes this a unique piece of American folk art. The basket is in mint condition and dates from the early 20thc. It measures 16 3/4" long by 9 1/4" deep by 6 1/4" tall. It is 15" to the top of the handle. Click on images to enlarge. (sold)
