    Basket Candy Container
These miniature handwoven baskets were made in Germany in the late 19th century. They were sold as candy containers to be used as Christmas ornaments. They are great on a small feather tree. The second photo shows the Germany stamp in the middle of the basket. One of them has the original store wholesale tag that is marked 100 for $5.00. Gives us some idea of their age. They measure 1 3/8" square by 2 1/4" tall with the handle. Click on images to enlarge. $ 50.00 pair
