French Gothic 19thc Candelabra

The workmanship in these gothic style cut brass candlesticks is remarkable. They have been completely handcrafted out of interlocking cut metal pieces, very much like architectural construction. The brass has mellowed into a nice warm patina. These gothic sticks were possibly made for a church altar considering the beautifully cut angels on each side of the bases. They date to the middle of the 19th century and were found in France. They measure 23 1/2" tall. The base is 10 1/4" long with the angels and 7" deep. The top of the candelabra measures 10" square.
