European Store Display Hands
These very elegant store display hands were found in Europe and date to the early 20th century. They have been carved from a single piece of wood and have an articulated thumb, (to help in getting the glove on and off). It is interesting how something made for mundane store display usage could have such a strong sculptural and folk art qualities. These are two right hands and are priced separately. They measure 13 3/4" tall by 3 3/8" wide. The base measures 2 1/2" in diameter. Click on images to enlarge. (sold) This particular pair of store display hands have been sold.
