Michelin Man Advertising Figure
This French advertising piece for Michelin Tires was made to ride on the top of a tire truck and retains his original mounting bracket. The Michelin Man or "Bibendum" has been the tire companies symbol since 1894. This piece has been made out of a hard white plastic and is marked: "Michelin Et Cie 1966." It is in great condition with just a bit of wear and tear from its driving experiences on European roads. The sculptural qualities of a Bidendum make it one of the most recognized trademarks in the world. It measures 17 1/2" tall by 10 1/4" wide by 7 1/2" deep. Click on images to enlarge. (sold)
